Square Enix has released a new trailer for the latest sequel of the Hitman franchise, Hitman Absolution that scheduled to be shown at E3 show 2012. In the trailer, titled “Attack of the Saints“, the women are shown a group of assassins dressed as a nun with a tight leather outfit and armed with heavy guns. Apparently, not everyone has a “sense of humor” with Square Enix. After the trailer was released, various groups on the internet is stating that the trailer was “inappropriate”, because the depiction of “nun” as a “liaison man to God” destroyed by making the nun as a hitman. Not only that, skin tight clothing that worn by the “sisters” in this trailer did not escape the negative comments. If a nun usually dressed in long garments but something worn by the “nun” in the trailer is said “controversial” and “sexually harassing”. Producer Hitman Absolution, Luke Valentine was forced to speak out. Via VG247, Valentine said that the “sisters” in this trailer is actually a trained assassin as Agent 47. Regarding the portrayal of nuns, Valentine explained that the Hitman series fans surely know that Agent 47, although described as a sadistic assassin, sometimes still question his life to God. In this trailer, Valentine trying to assert that Agent 47 can overcome the “dilemma” that he felt when kill his opponent. Agent 47 has been described not have any remorse at killing opponents, including the “ministers of God”, namely the “nun”. Hitman Absolution will be released on 20 November 2012 simultaneously throughout the world for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
