The Avengers: Battle for Earth Video Game Announced

Ubisoft and Marvel join together to bring the Secret Invasion to life.

Being developed by Ubisoft Quebec, The Avengers: Battle For Earth will be released on Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii U consoles, which means we will not see the release of this game for quite a while, however it’s confirmed release date is “this Fall” but it could easily be delayed. This video game adaptation will NOT be based on the recent movie however, but instead will be based on Brian Michael Bendis’ Secret Invasion. This will pit the Avengers against a threat we may have never seen before in a video game.
We are excited to team up with Marvel Entertainment to bring some of the most iconic comic book characters from the Marvel line-up to life in motion-gaming,” said Tony Key, US senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. “Fans of the Marvel universe and superhero games are going to love the extensive combinations of characters, motion-controlled moves and competitive gameplay.”
The game will also feature over 20 characters from Marvel’s best super heroes to super villains.

This line, however leads me to believe that this game will be Kinect-exclusive and probably end up completely worthless and not useful to casual gamer who doesn’t care to buy stupid motion-controlled Xbox games.
