My guide on getting rich in sims three (without cheats).

-Gardening: buy a property with a large gardening space plant the seeds you where given after leveling up. Tend your garden when ever it needs tending and use everything your plant/trees grow to plant more seeds until your garden is jam packed with plants/trees. Maintain the garden and sell all produce.

-Painting: When your Sim has free time get his/her creative skill up to its peak. Paint often and sell paintings for thousands! (Note: to make masterpieces more often which sell for more Sim money use your life time happiness to obtain traits such as “extra creative”)

-Writing: once you have peaked your writing skill you are able to earn weekly royalty’s for everything you write

-Complete career: an obvious one, but hey.. there’s no doubt that getting your Sim/s to there highest career level will bring in a lot of money.

-Quick cash: If you want a house with say only one or two Sims why not add the maximum amount of house mates to your house (each Sim brings a considerable amount of money to the house) then kick every Sim you don’t want in the house. This will enable you to keep the money you was given in the beginning of the game.

-Buy company’s: once you have a considerable amount of money spend it on business shares. You do this by going on town view and choosing which company you want a part of. You will earn a constant profit doing this

-Rude Landlord: Invite people to move in then kick them keeping there money

So I finally got the Sims 3 that I have been waiting on for so very long. When I got the game I though this game was going to be ever thing I wanted it to be and well it’s not. Here are my pro’s and con’s about the Sims 3, first the likes of this game is the alter and refine the details of your Sims face, you can change so much on your sims face way more then in the Sims 2. I love the fact that you can make your own Sims clothing with out using a body shop and I like that you can do the same for hairstyle. You can make your own custom content right in the game and up load it to the Sims 3 site. I love that there are no loading screen once you get in to the game and I also like that a female Sims go’s to the hospital to have her baby. I like that there are more things for you to do in the Sims 3, these are the things that might make you buy this game but there are some that might make you not want to buy this game. Now the dislikes first I hate that you can not do every thing that was in the Sims 2, like there is no weather in the Sims 3 I just fill like every thing that was in the Sims 2 should have been in this game and it’s not and that makes me a little up set cause that means I will have to buy more expansion packs that will take up more space on my computer. I also don’t like the fact that this game take up a lot of space already on my computer so much space that when I run the game it takes forever to do anything and that makes me not want to play the game at all. I now know that if I would like to play my Sims 3 I would have to buy a whole other computer with more space or pay $400.00 to up date my old one, which really just kind of sucks. So I would say if you have the space and want to buy more expansion packs then go ahead and buy the Sims 3, but if your like me and just don’t have the money but you really want the game the I say start saving.

It's finally out, after the long wait, Sims 3 is now out in the market. Still don't have the latest top ranked game of all time? Still battling with yourself if you'll buy it or not? Here's a little something to a peace your mind.

Do you remember way back in Sims 2? When Mr. Humble rings your bell and drops of a computer? You’ll get a bubble that says that the computer and the games in it may be a sign of things to come; and the games in it are Sims 3 and S.S.R.X. (i think). In my opinion, that’s E.A.’s and Maxis’ way of saying “HEY! we’re making Sims 3 and you’ll enjoy it!” So now it’s out, I’ve played it for 3 days and here’s the review, cheat codes and a whole lot of help for you.

First Up: Sims 3 Overview

Sims 3 is a lot different from the previous versions of The Sims. I personally find the game play harder. Skills are harder to develop and socials are harder to score, especially if you’re adept and so used to Sims 2. Sims 3 however, gives you a lot of things to do. Instead of your Sims being confined at home, they can travel their town

Now for the difference of Sims 3 from Sims 2 and Sims (1).

These comparisons are under the assumption that The Sims 2 and The Sims games have complete Expansion Packs and/or stuff packs

As a GameSpot critic, I got a sneak peek at the Sims 3.

Hey, everyone!

The Sims 3 is getting release June 2nd.

I have been playing for two weeks now for the GameSpot team! Whats new? FULL neighborhood control, no more loading screens, and bigger possibilities!!

The most i’ve done was steal a “classmate’s” boyfriend

It’s so exciting! First, you make a sim. Skin, hair, clothing! Sliders let you define skin tone and weight. And with the hair, you can choose the color of your sims hair roots, highlights, tips and base! You can also go into the Create A Style screen. For clothing, you pick a base item. Halter top or tee? Mini skirt or jeans? THEN you go to the drop down list of material. Themes, metals, woods, patterns. You can choose from plaid to skulls, the pick a color! Even make pink, red, and black flamed shoes if you want! The you choose their favorite color, food, and music, and TRAITS. Traits are important towards behavior. Will your sim be a hopless romantic computer whiz? An evil kleptomaniac that keeps it flirty? You can choose up to 2 traits for toddlers, 3 for a child, 4 a teen, 5 to adults! You gain one every age. They are babies, toddlers, children, teen, young adult, adult, and elder ages.

Then comes the actual playing. ANYTHING is possible! From gossip around town, hanging by the school, seeing a movie, football game, or eating out with friends. It’s great! So far in the game I married my neighbor, and close to my father in law and brother in law, and have 2 toddlers. You can choose to potty train, teach to walk, and teach to talk to help your little ones grow better!

So, whats different from the sims 2?

Traits, body weight, open neighborhood (walk anywhere), bicycles and cars, more aware and unique, relationship labels, and more options, create a style, improvements in build mode, create a sim, graphics!

Yeah it could use some work. It’s addicting if you’re hooked to one of those virtual life games, shooter guys, you’ll get bored. If you’re used to RPGS and Anime games. Sims 3 could be a work of art for you. Shooters and action, not much of it. You might make one family and get bored of it soon enough.

So i’d give this an 8.5/10 rating. Coming to stores June 2nd!!

A response to the news that EA will not be using its much-loathed DRM in The Sims 3.

Victory!

We’re finally managed to stick it to ridiculous DRM protection. Now we have proof that people can make a difference against these stupid and draconian systems that support piracy rather than fight it.

“There is always going to be a level of protection for games and this solution [DRM free] is right for The Sims 3.

“How these things roll out in the future will be down to the developers and we will make announcements in due course.”

We’re going to need to press the advantage now that we have it, and ensure that games developers don’t resort to these BS solutions again in the near future. Buy legal and show your support for your favourite, DRM free games. The sims 3 is only the start, hopefully we can relocate this nasty little chapter of gaming to the history books once and for all.

DRM has already been weakened on the music front, with many legitimate services providing DRM Free files (sometimes at a slightly higher cost), now that videogames are set to follow suit, our right to use what we buy is slowly being returned to us. Where is the sense in only being able to install spore three times? Why is it that if I buy a song on CD I can’t copy it to my MP3 player (legally anyway)? It makes no sense, and by creating the uproar we have, these big companies are starting to buckle.

So keep it up people, push on with the fight, maybe there’s some hope for humanity left yet.

Now, if only we could keep developers from releasing games loaded with bugs…

Why the Sims fascinates some and scares others to death.

The Sims and related games have been around since the dawn of the 21st century. The game that lets you build houses, populate them, and control the lives of the pixelated people who live in them is a fun and fascinating addiction for some (myself included), while others see it as a most unnatural act of control freakishness. For example, I have a friend who found himself creating his ex-partner in the Sims, locking the simulated ex in a room, and starving him to death. This act disturbed him so much when it was over that he hasn’t touched the game since.

My advice: don’t create your exes in the game. Don’t necessarily create yourself and people you like, either, at least not at first. It took me a year before I created myself, and even when I did I never played my own life and household very often. I believe the people who get the most out of the game are the players who focus on the families that come built in. Perfect strangers who are waiting for you to be their god. And they grow on you. While some players do delight in torture, most of us are good gods who love our little people and want the best for them. Including nice big houses with the best interior design and furnishings, even if the careers we assign them to don’t allow them to afford such luxuries. Thank goodness for game cheats.

Of course, creating people who are purely sprung from the mind of the creator, real life celebrities, or real life fictional characters, is common as well. There’s nothing quite like forcing Britney to take better care of her kids, bringing dead celebrities back to life, or having the Harry Potter characters live out their lives the way you want them to.

For good or bad, The Sims 2, like its predecessor, is one of the top selling video games in history. With the release of The Sims 3 coming in the next year, the gods and goddesses of the Sim world do not seem to be headed for the same destiny as their Greek and Roman counterparts anytime soon.

The latest Sims 2 expansion pack has arrived. Bon Voyage arrives with a splash. There are three vacation spots to choose from: an island vacation, a trip to the far east, and a mountain getaway.

In
Bon Voyage, each vacation spot offers its own set of vacation mementos. Local gestures can be learned at each spot, and special cuisine can be sampled as well.

Special things can be done at each location, with maps that lead to hidden lots at each locale. For instance, a certain furry friend named Bigfoot can be found in the mountains, a dragon legend can be learned in the far east, and a voodoo doll can be earned in the islands. The secret of teleportation can be learned from ninjas. Be aware though, that a question has to be answered correctly to earn the right of knowledge. Tours are something that can be taken at every location. Chance cards will pop up on every tour, and the answer will decide how the tour has gone.

Sims can now have poison ivy, for instance. Bees chasing them when they come back is also a real possibility. Money and skill points can be earned, and skill points lost. Maps to secret locations can be found.

It is very simple to take your sim on vacation. Just call and book a vacation on the phone, or book a vacation online on the computer. The lot will be saved, and the sim will arrive back at essentially the same time he or she left. If there are children, toddlers, infants, or pets at home, a nanny or other family member will have to stay with them. Children may go on vacations or not, but toddlers, infants, and pets cannot. A female sim can get pregnant on vacation, but the pregnancy will not progress while gone.

Some of the most special things that come with the expansion pack, however, have nothing to do with vacations. For instance, the long awaited jewelry arrives on the scene. Turn ons and turn offs, which haven’t been added to since the Nightlife expansion pack, suddenly have had several new additions. Community lots, as long as you are at a hotel, can now be slept on, and saved at. Community lots can now include weddings. How about a nice wedding at the local park? Also, Sims can now walk to lots and don’t need a taxi or a car to get where they are going. There are some nice new roofs, floors, walls, and furniture that comes with the package as well. There is even clothing that Sims can wear to blend in with the locals on their vacations. Sims can now be invited to stay for three days at a time as a house guest.

Another nice new addition is the massages that Sims can learn and purchase, not to mention the saunas and hot springs. Sims can also buy souvenirs, and dig for treasure as well. They can get their pictures taken, and even order photos and albums to be delivered from their computers back home. Vacation homes can even be purchased! A sim can now own a home away from home. There are advantages to this, as they can continue to learn skills in their vacation homes, whereas they cannot at hotels.
Many of the vacation memories can actually be learned in your home neighborhoods. Things like local gestures can be taught to the Sims back home, once one sim goes on vacation and learns it. Serving and drinking tea, are also things that can be done at home. Axe throwing is another fine example. Bigfoot can even be met, as long as a sim has asked him to move in.

A few things that are drawbacks to the expansion pack however, is the fact that hotels cannot be owned as businesses. Jewelry cannot be recolored in the body shop either. These are fairly minor, although having both of these would have been very nice. They would have made wonderful additions. Overall however, the expansion pack is a good one, and well worth the money.
