Oh, absolutely pitiful. I’m not a gamer anymore (I left games when I was, say, 14) and from an objective point of view, this is a rant of a nerd guy who enjoys violent games about other nerd guys who enjoy non-violent ones. Pathetic. You should also get a life, dude, instead of caring of what games do other adults play.

Well, I’m a NEW Nintendo fan who’s not a grown man, but I can tell you that graphics and violent games like Modern Warfare 2 (I still love it though) doesn’t exactly make a man in their 40’s more mature. I actually think that people like you who consider that playing these games should go fight for their country rather that writing an article they’re “passionate” about. Pssh…Wii has crappy graphics, so what? No one complained back in the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox days. Besides if you really want to see some realistic violence go JOIN THE ARMY AND ACTUALLY FIGHT FOR YOUR PEOPLE AND NOT FOR YOUR RANK ON SOME MEANINGLESS LEADERBOARD (still kudos to whoever is at the top). GEEZ! People these days! These grown men in their forties feel passion and loyalty to Nintendo, all qualities any human should respect. WHY ON EARTH ARE DEMEANING THEM!?!?

Well, after reading this article – I have come to the conclusion that you, sir, are a douche. Everyone has their own opinion, I understand. Plenty of people hate the Wii because of many things and tend to rant about it. But you just seemed to just flip every one of the users who play any Nintendo console off, just out of the zeal you feel about rated ‘M’ games. Just because it doesn’t involve gorey violence and sex doesn’t mean the game isn’t great, or mature for that matter (Not saying they can’t be great either). It just seems to be the handful of pricks like you who just love bashing on video games for not fitting the mold for newer generation games and knocked it up a notch and get the fans involved in an attempt to try stroking your own ego at the same time (Which you miserabley failed according to most of these comments.) I get annoyed just hearing an arguement between two consoles and wish the particepants would just drop it and stick to their own thing (We all have our personal preferances, hell you could stick to your own console.) But it’s dicks like you who decide to be an arrogant zealot and show the world how fucking gay it is to actually have gamers like you in the community. Next time a thought goes through your head just don’t say it, please – for the sake of your own health and everyone’s IQ. Just let people do what they enjoy and don’t follow stupid stereotypes like this whole complete article. Oh, and like you’ve actually ever had a girlfriend yourself, let alone get laid… Online cybersex does not count either, buddy.

I strongly disagreed with your article. Nintendo is reinventing gaming for a new generation. With the Wii in particular, it can be looked at as modern day NES. A lot of there games have managed to preserve the spirit of what made them amazing games in the early years. The NES was inferior graphically to some of the other gaming consoles of the day but it did far better then the other ones because of there innovative way of creating games. That’s where “re-living are childhood” comes into play. Recently some of the games from Nintendo have managed to bring awesome franchises to the next generation while at the same time preserving there classic feel. Appeals to new gamers while satisfying veteran Nintendo gamers. If it weren’t for Nintendo, gaming would not be what it is today. So leave us older gamers alone. There is nothing wrong with re-living our childhood. You’ll find this out yourself when you one day say to yourself, “man I remember when I was playing blah, blah…etc.”. You’ll see. It may not be refering to Nintendo directly but your going to want to go back and play those “old” and “classic” 360 games or PS3 games. Mark my words, your time will come.
