Dreamcast and its fault
Why the dreamcast died and the fault it still carries
The Sega Dreamcast was a great machine, it had many games for it that at the time was a cut above the rest, it had classics like toy commander and virtual tennis 1 and 2, and these games were amazing!
You have to remember that the Dreamcast was released roughly 1 and a half years before the Playstation 2, so for its time it was the most advance console on the market. The Dreamcast didn’t last long in the market and you might wonder why.
First fact was the console claimed to be chipping proof which it was, you couldn’t get the console chipped to play games, this put off a lot of cheap people how don’t like paying the full price for games. The there were the people who owned the console and bought boot discs, these allowed you to play copied games on the console, not good at all.
Soon most people were paying very little for copied games and the copied games market was doing well, this saw the sale of games drop, with the ever increasing drop of sales companies who made the games began to bail out on the Dreamcast leaving it with few games to choose from.
Soon enough the Dreamcast was dead in the water, the console was cancelled by Sega and no more was said about it, how ever if you are like me you might have noticed your Dreamcast that you still own keeps rebooting when you trying to play the game!
How damn annoying, you see Sega rushed the console and now it had a fault after so long the pins at the back for you’re the plug have worn out, this all of a sudden stops the power supply and then restarts it, causing the Dreamcast to reboot all the time!
How to fix the problem well you have to pay around £35 for the repair pay for delivery of the machine to a company fir it to be fixed, not good not good at all, Sega claim to be a company who care but they won’t help you out on this one.
All I can say is BOO to Sega.

to me all the dreamcast did in long term effects was addvance the evolotion of online gaming.
P.S. how much is 35 pounds in american dollars.
around i say a lest 45$
Dreamcast’s faults are few when compared to other consoles. Their biggest failure was not being prepared for massive piracy.
But it hasn’t stopped the console!
There are games still being made, and there were a few releases in 2007.
But booing SEGA after all these years, after they lost millions because people didn’t respect the copyright laws that were in place.
If you want to see a rushed console and boo it, turn your attention to the XBox 360, Thats a console that deserve a boo or 2.
Yea I could not agree more. I will tell you the only reason X-Box 360 seems to be doing so well i cause off microsoft massive power with money. It is so large it forces companies to go over. Or maybe it is the software companies not staying faithful to a console cough cough Capcom, Square Enix, and now possible Konami. I am sick with the stomach with this companies. A console make them grow so large and then they drop them like nothing. Everyone is in it for the money. Politics in Gaming I will let you guys decide.
