Lg Launches 3D Phone – Lg Optimus 3D

LG is launching its brand new LG Optimus 3d – a groundbreaking new mobile phone that has a large 4.3 inch touchscreen that is capable of displaying three-dimensional images without the need for those funky 3d glasses. There is even a pair of cameras on the back so that users can take 3-d photographs and videos to share with friends.

The optimus 3d uses the “switchable barrier” technique, similiar to the new Nintendo DS 3D, to display its images. The important factor… no need for glasses.

LG is hoping its new phone will ride the new 3D wave created by hollywood.

Send 3D text, watch 3D movies or play real 3D games – the LGM Optimus 3D went on display at a recent conference and it can do it all. The fact that it can play games also puts pressure on the temporary monopoly Nintendo has with its 3d gaming machine rolling out in march.
