Many DS fans are psyched about the new Nintendo DSi coming out with a built in camera. For those people who are not that hard core fans, the DSi will include a camera in both the inside and the outside, a SD Card slot, and the usual DS features.
But one thing I don’t think Nintendo should of added was that SD card slot. Almost gaming device with a SD/Memory Card slot has been hacked into. The Playstation Portable, Nintendo Wii, and Playstation 2. You can’t forget about one of the easiest PSP hacks, the TIFF exploit, where hackers were able to downgrade the PSP by making a program with a TIF image the hack was simple. Playstation games have been used to hack the Playstation 3 partly now. The DSi supposedly will have the ability to read pictures off of the SD card. The Wii hack was made by using a SD Card and a game, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Using the SD Card to put a game save where your horse’s name would crash the game, leaving it exploit able to install Custom Firmware. The DSi will also be having a SD Card slot, making it that much more easier to hack. Maybe hide a file inside of a picture and when the DSi runs it, it will run home brew.
So the main question is, will it be hackable and when will we hack it?
Edit: YES IT HAS BEEN HACKED! Just three days after it’s release in Japan, some hacker got a DSi and was able to run home brew on it. Nintendo DS hacks and homebrew also work on it. They should be able to get some stuff to work with the cameras. As I pointed out earlier, everyone suspects that a TIFF exploit was used via a intentionaly corrupted TIFF file.

the DS itself has already been hacked, the DSi might possibly have the ability to forgo the buying of 3rd party hardware to get it to work (like an EDGE card) but it’s still completely doable in any case, just a matter of time before those functions are unlocked.
Well, the psp 3000 was supposedly hack proof, but some similar methods to the PSP 1000 or 2000 have been used to hack it.
infact the dsi is very easy to hack the day i got it i spent 6 hours it was worth it to hack mine and i hacked the sd card and now i can get any dsi/ds/gba/nes/snes/any really old game system i can download i used C++ to create my own program emulator that can play all of those and i downloaded the roms offline and its pretty cool and fun and i can get games from japan free hack them and make them english.

Sir who goes by the name of mod… you are a moron. you are part of a league of morons, who should be banished from the earth for all of eternity, and not allowed to reproduce. any halfwit can figure out that it takes a lot longer than six hours to hack any system as complicated as the dsi. im interested as to how you could possibly have played any gba games seen as they removed all firmware capable of playing gba games… or did you make that within six hours too? f-ing lol. moron. do us all a favor, and never post anything on the internet again.

MOD if you really want us to belive that you hacked it in 6 hours post a video on youtube of you putting the sd card into the dsi and installing it then run some games then well belive you.

its simple, you get an acekard 2i flash cart, i got mine from http://www.mygamingmart.com
fill a microsd tf memory with roms, music, movies, put it in the ak2i and then insert into your DSi and voila!

i just got my dsi a week ago. it is fun and all, but i did waana hack it. all i find is yasu wit his hello world and pop ‘n ds. i get all exicted just to find out that he is not going to release how he did it. if anyonr has any ideas plz post.
P.S. i dont want to go buy an acekard because im worried that the day after i buy it they will come out wit some kind of sd card hack

when i tried to put a nds rom on my sd card, i renamed it jpeg. Then when i tried to read it it said that the image cannot be displayed

well i used a corrupted milk file to crash it and a message came on the box saying the secret ingredient. i tryed it on my dsi and it worked

do eny of you guys have pokemon black for dsi if you do i was wondering if we could exchang friend codes… if you dont know how you go to the menu by pressing x… choose your bag….. go to key items….. look for pal pad from there you can ether look at the friends you have add a friend or look at your own frien code but unless you are a loser whos stupid you should know that so eny way my friend code is 4341 3097 1573 and my name is alexis so if you want to be pals on pkm blck tell me your name in the game and your friend code so we can battle and voice chat and evan us the x transeiver thnx :p
