10 Reasons (against Both the Wii and Xbox 360) Why the PS3 is the Best Next-Gen Console

This does NOT include psp, ds, or other handhelds.

In comparison to the Wii

  1. Despite being more expensive, the PS3 has a blue-ray AND DVD player. It can also read CDs. Wii cannot play DVDs, Blue-rays, or CDs
  2. While the Wii has a slightly easier to use user interface, PS3 has WAY more options. From using one of your own images, to using a image off the web, to using a download-able theme, you can easily change your PS3’s background. You can set it so your kids can’t play games that they aren’t allowed, set it so kids can’t visit sites they’re not allowed to, set it so kids can’t watch movies out of their allowed area… all with ONE simple password.
  3. PS3’s Internet explorer is a lot easier to use.
  4. PS3’s controllers are Blue-tooth, therefore making less dropped connections, lighter controllers and better response time. Wii still relies on old technology Wi-Fi for its controllers, which is great for Internet connections, but for controllers causes more dropped connections, heavier components and are not as fast at responding
  5. Wii AND PS3 have controllers that allow you to move around to do stuff in different games. PS3 = Driving, steering, bending cannonballs towards your enemies (heavenly sword :D ) and other stuff. If you want, you can turn that off, or keep it on.

    ummm wii doesn’t have dropped connection for the controlers how do i kno? i got a wii and a ps3, if it happens alot to you, you might wanna get that checked out lol

    Wii controllers never drop connection, even up to a full block away (with a clear signal, of course.)

    And you fail to mention the complete lack of games for the PS3, theres maybe 3 platform specific titles that are actually exciting.

    Anywho- got it checked out, my wifi recievers were defective. much better now. Also, @Zymas, PS3 has PLENTY of amazing games. Call Of Dudy 5, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet, Warhawk, Singstar, to name a few.
