Is Playstation 3 Worth Buying?

Have you already bought a PS3? Those who haven’t will find this article useful and how they might not be wasting their money on this game console. It is probably the most advanced video gaming system you could find.

Is it better than Playstation 2?

Playstation 3 had released on 11th November 2006 with improved features than Playstation 2 which only allowed you to play games and watch DVD’s. PS3 does so much more!

A PS3 has:

1)    Game controllers that you can recharge

2)    2-4 USB ports

3)    DVD player

4)    8 audio channels

5)    A multi card reader built inside

6)    WiFi connection which allows you to connect to the internet

With a PS3, you can do so much more than just play games. Below is a list of how the Playstation 3 can amuse you.

1)    It lets you play games including those from PS1 and PS2

2)    It allows you to play free games online through the Playstation internet network

3)    You can watch Blu-ray movies and normal DVD movies

4)    Listen to your favourite songs and format them from your CD

5)    Connecting and browsing the internet

6)    Allows you to use a mouse and a keyboard

7)    Connect to a PSP

8)    Download free game demos and buy games from the PS store online

9)    Chat with other PS3 users through messaging

10)                       Earn trophies

This sounds good! But should I still buy it?

PS3 is much cheaper than what it was at the time of release. You can easily find a PS3 for around 200-300 pounds ($400).

If you are addicted to games, I would strongly recommend this console because it would really boost your excitement. I can say that you will strongly regret the experience you had missed from this advanced gaming system in today’s time.

I don’t have enough money so should I buy a second hand?

This is another thing that you might regret doing! Please do not buy a second hand one as this could have problems with it. Buy one that it fresh and new! This should increase your chances in keeping it for a longer period of time. If you require money, try getting a part time job and collect the money. As you do so, the prices should decrease further.

Below is a link to an online store where you can buy a PS3 for just £299 ($450)

A great article but you forgot to mention the PS3 has very few exclusive games on offer – Apart from Little Big Planet, i can’t think of any other exclusives?

The 360 rivals the PS3 in terms of graphics and capabilities, but fails to have a broad range of games.

Nintendo Wii has a huge variety of games, as well as exclusives, yet fails in terms of graphics and other capabilities.

I have both a Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 and was a huge fan of the PS2… but bitterly disappointed with the PS3.

Another PS3 exclusive – Heavy Rain, which will be out soon.
    And Valkyrie Chronicles

And check this out – i wonder what it is
    http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/5705.html

And also, if you were planning to buy Batman: Arkham Asylum; the playstation 3 version of the game has an unlockable feature which allows you to play challenge mode as….THE JOKER ;D
    Whereas the xbox360 version doesn’t.

As for your comment, Matt061, I completely disagree with you; from the exclusive games ALONE it is clear the playstation 3 has a nice range of games, and if you include the multi-platform games then it’s fantastic. And as for capabilities, the playstation 3 hasn’t even unleashed half of what it’s capable of, yet. So while it may it may appear that the two consoles are currently matched in capabilities, six month’s time will tell a different story.

See what I did with the WiiWii anyone? Oui Oui? no? haha.

Congrats to the author of this article, but you’re going to have to update it soon, as those geniuses at Sony are now bringing online television to your shiny little PS3, and it’ll also give you the chance to buy or rent films in digital format onto your ps3. Also, you haven’t mentioned “VidZone”, the application to watch music videos online.

And you haven’t mentioned Playstation Home; not exactly my cup of tea but it’s proving quite popular, with its mini-games and opportunities to talk to other gamers.

I spose i went over the top with these two comments..
