New PSP
PSP.
The new PSP goes on sale today and many are asking the question of where do the UMD’s go. This is because the new PSP cannot play UMD as it has no slot, instead Sony think that it is better to download the games instead of buying them. This has caused a lot of problems such as what if the user has no access to the Internet what will they do then. Also the download speed would be rubbish so you would waste a whole day waiting for a game. Retailers have not been so happy that they cannot sell any games for the new PSP and fell Sony is being unfair and in my opinion yes they are. Also if they must be downloaded before you can play them then that means you can not get cheap second hand games so expect to pay £40 for all games old and new. Personally they should have thought about the consequence of there actions before making the PSP that i think won’t be as good as it’s predecessors. It does however look like downloading games will be the future but are we ready for it now, i think the next generation of gaming will have no need for discs which is a shame as they have been faithful companions since the ps1.
