Save your PSP battery…
Find it hard to keep your PSP battery on for long? Going on a long trip with no place to charge? Forgot your charger? No worries!
Here are the most simple tricks adopted by frequent users like me to save the energy from draining out.
- Turn off the brightness. The LCD takes up most of the power of the battery. Set it to minimum level and save around two hours of the battery life.
- Turn down the volume. Is that so necessary? If no, then turn it down, and yes, then make sure you play the full volume using headphones. Headphones use less energy. For homebrew users, use LightMP3 to play your music. Saves a HELL lot of energy.
- Again, a good news for homebrew users, Hold+ 3.8 is another utility which helps you play music longer. When in hold mode, the clock is reduced to only 60MHz increasing the battery life and also allows functioning of the Left, Right, LTrigger, RTrigger, Volume and Start buttons(with Select button pressed) in hold.
- The next step, Drain your battery fully(Not actually, around 10% would be enough) once in 3 days and charge it overnight. DO NOT kepp it in charging the whole day or after every session.
- One way is to switch the WLAN button off. WLAN also darins battery. Use it only when needed.
- If you still find it hard to save the battery, buy another one. It doesn’t cost much. Or, go for a portable charger, then all you would need is any battery to keep your PSP running the whole day.
Any questions? Use the comment box. It’s free and does not drain your PSP’s battery! :p
