Three PS3 Games to Buy This Christmas
My selection of the three must-have PS3 games this Christmas.
I love computer games. I love having a nice selection of games, so that I always have a game in my library that will suit any mood I’m in. I’m particularly excited about the scheduled releases for this Christmas. Here are three PS3 games that I think every owner should check out.
Uncharted 2: Amongst Thieves
Uncharted 2: Amongst Thieves, is the sequel to Naughty Dog’s 2007 critically acclaimed action-adventure title Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Naughty Dog, the developers behind the famous Crash Bandicoot franchise, are set to release Uncharted 2 this October. Players once again step into the shoes of Nathan “Nate” Drake. This time, the action takes place in areas as diverse as Nepal and Tibet. The game once again looks absolutely stunning and promises to be an instant classic, just as its predecessor was.
Modern Warfare 2
The true sequel to 2007’s Game of the Year, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2 promises to be one of the biggest games of 2009, if not the decade. Infinity Ward’s newest Modern Warfare game carries on from where the original left off. Players step into the shoes of Sergeant Gary “Roach” Sanderson, before setting off with Task Force 141 to locations around the world, such as Afghanistan and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Modern Warfare 2 uses an upgraded version of the engine that was used in the development of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Assassin’s Creed 2
Assassin’s Creed 2 is set to be released in November 2009, 2 years after the release of its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed. In this installation, players take on the role of Ezio Auditore di Firenze, a nobleman from Florence. The game is set almost 300 years after the original. Players will now be able to swim in the canals of Venice, to use them as hiding spots and as a method of assassinating guards. Players will also be able to interact with Leonardo da Vinci. Players will have access to da Vinci’s “flying machine” at least one time during the course of play.
