Xlink Kai is Way to Play Online While PSN Offline

A way to play online while psn is off line…

Xlink Kai, basically tricks the PS3 into thinking that everyone who is using it is on the same LAN network as you.

It’s completely legal and won’t harm your computer/PS3.

It’s picked up a lot of activity now that PSN is down.
It doesn’t necessarily work with EVERY game, only games that support LAN or system link.

Not to many games have active communities besides Black Ops and a few others, like RDR. but it’s pretty easy to get a few friends together.

First, you will need to download this program: http://www.mediafire.com/?fdfodz15nutzzun

Make sure your PS3 is off before you start this up.
Don’t forget to create an account.

Now, you need to forward ports 30000-34255, here is a guide to use to locate the ports: http://portforward.com/

But first, click this link to make sure your ports are open: http://portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm

Now, open Xlink Kai and switch to Diagnostics Mode. Turn your PS3 on, make sure its wired directly to your router or PC.

Edit the connection settings so that your Primary DNS is the same as your computers IP.
Restart the PS3, you should get a DNS error.

Check the Diagnostic Screen on Xlink Kai and click the folder, it should show your PS3.

That means everything is working fine.
Start up whichever game you’re playing and go to System-Link/LAN, that’s where you will find parties/matches
There’s no guarantee anyone will be hosting, but all you can do is hope. There are quite a few people playing Black Ops. Mostly Zombies.

This is almost like P2P hosting, so performance depends on the host.

When PSN is back up, simply go back to your regular connection settings and make sure Xlink Kai is closed.
