Pokedex – Dewgong 087

Dewgong is a water and ice type Pokemon that strongly resembles a real sea lion. Dewgong evolves from a Seel upon reaching level 34. Dewgong’s special ability can either be Thick Fat or Hydration depending on which Pokemon game you are currently playing. Now we shall move onto the random facts about Dewgong.

• Dewgong is five feet and 7 inches tall.
• Dewgong wegihs 264.6 pounds.
• Dewgong’s name is derived from the word dew and the animal dugong which is like a manatee.
• Dewgong’s shiny type is a white color instead of light blue.
• Dewgong’s secret ability is Ice Body.

Now if you read my last article and saw that the pre evolved form of Dewgong, Seel, could be found in a lot of places; do not expect that to be the same for Dewgong. Dewgong can be found in very few places and I strongly advise you just catch a Seel and then evolve it as that is much easier. Although below I have put the locations that Dewgong actually is in.

• Yellow/Blue/Red - On the Seafoam Islands
• LeafGreen/FireRed - In Icefall Cave or on the Seafoam Islands
• Diamond - On Route 226 and 230.
• Platinum - In Victory Road.
• SoulSilver/HeartGold - On the Seafoam Islands.
• White/Black - Giant Chasm

As you can see Dewgong is mainly only found in the games that feature the Seafoam Islands in them. However if you choose not to evolve a Seel you can always either trade or migrate to get a Dewgong if you really are that lazy!
