Game Nostalgia: Kirby’s Adventure
Taking a look back at one of the greatest games ever made, Kirby’s Adventure.
I am going to start doing this every week, I am going to write about a game from the past. The majority of the games will come from the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Genesis, Sega Dreamcast, and the Playstation 1. Every now and then I will throw in a PS2 game, a Gamecube game, or an Xbox game, only those that I feel adds that nostalgic feeling.
So without further adeiu the first weeks installment.
Kirby’s Adventure (NES)

The first adventure featuring everyones favorite pink glutton. In his/her, Its first adventure Kirby traverses many different worlds to save Dreamland from King Dedede. This was the first game that I actually finished, or at least thought that I did. See it was also the first game that I had ever played that tricked me into believing that the game was finished. The game was so fluid and well as simple, and at a young age simplicity was golden. One thing that attracted Kirby to my liking was the eating, yes the eating. Everything was entertaining when you see a pint sized pink ball eat a rather large enemy, and the best thing was waiting to see what ability Kirby would gain. My personal favorite was, of course, the UFO. The UFO was such a rarity to get however when it was acquired it was heaven, ok well it wasn’t heaven it was just a great feeling.
Kirby’s Adventure had, and still has, a lot to offer for both the imaginations of the young and not-so-young. This game stretched everyones imaginations and when you were finished you were left wanting more. Now I still enjoy this game to this day, only thing is that I did not realized how easy this game actually was, and I also did not realize how short it was. All in all Kirby’s Adventure is just a good game, it is still satisifiying and is still one of my favorite games to date. Til next time
