Thinkgeek Releases Snes Style Controller for Wii

I love the website ThinkGeek. They’ve got everything you could possibly want if you’re a tech or geek guy/gal. From 8-Bit ties to E-Tank mugs (which is shipping tomy house as we speak), there’s plenty of great gadgets for gaming as well, and this new one should have come out years ago.

Japanese Club Nintendo membershave had a Super Famicom Classic Controller ( Super Nintendo for us here in the States) for their Wii system for a number of years now.

Of course you could order one on Ebay, but who wants to go through thetrouble? Besides, ThinkGeek has us covered now. The Super Famicom Controller is not the same one that JCN members have been using, but rather a great port of one. It plugs straight into the bottom of the Wiimote, and you can of course play the Virtual Console games (all of them that don’t require analog stick). For around twenty bucks plus shipping, it’s not a bad deal.

Yes, there is a classic controller for the Wii, and it’s been availablesince 2006, but quite frankly it’s not as comfortable as the SNES controller is, and really it takes usback to our childhood, and if youcan put a reasonable price on that anyone will buy.
