The Pros and Cons of Seventh Gen Gaming Systems
The Pros and cons of the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360.
In this time and day almost everyone you know owns at least on of the new generation systems. The three choices you have to pick from or immensely different form one another. So I have compiled a pros and cons list of each system to help you decide which on you prefer, and possible purchase.
Wii
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Family orientated (But still has a few M rated games)
- Keeps you active, and more involved
- Increases eye hand coordination
- Small and compact
- Home of the popular ‘Mario’, ‘Zelda’ and ‘Super Smash Bros’ series.
- Interesting controller concept
- Multiple accessories to enhance the experience.
- Can buy the classics from any Nintendo system in the past, along with a few others (Sega, NEO GEO)
- Fun to create Mii’s and use them on custom channels for the world to see.
- More original/Nintendo only games
Cons:
- Last Gen Graphics
- Can get expensive to buy all the accessories.
- Can sometimes get annoying when you have to use the Wii remote
- Active isn’t always fun
PS3
Pros:
- Powerhouse
- Best graphics in the business
- Classic controls
- Connects to PC’s with ease
- Plays BlueRay and DVD
- Downloadable games
- Can play PS1 and PS2 games
- No longer crazy expensive
Cons:
- Needs Credit Card to buy online games (No Sony points cards)
- Loading is atrocious
- Expensive Games
- Big, and sucks power
Xbox 360:
Pros:
- Able to have more than one hard drive
- The middle system (Minimal loading, less graphics)
- Classic Controller
- Downloadable Xbox 360 Games
- Home to the popular Halo series
- Can plug in your own music
- Has almost the same game selection as PS3
Cons:
- Clunky cords/power box
- Breaks more than other systems
