Why Nintendo Ds Lite is Better Than Nintendo Dsi

Well people have been really wanting the DSi. But when I come to think of it, the DS Lite is better.
Check it out to know why.
(Includes a full comparison between DSi and DS Lite. Also about the DSi XL / LL)

Well, the main added feature of the DSi is the camera.

But when you really think of it, whats the use of it?

When you go on for a trip I’m sure you’ll be carrying a camera with better Mega Pixels than the DSi.

You’d want to transfer those photos to your computer. Not that easy with a Dsi now is it?

So anyway even if you do want to use the DSi camera , use it. But in case you haven’t noticed, they’ve removed the GBA SLOT!

To make it simple, well for the pokemon gamer.

No more transferring pokemon from your Emerald and FireRed to your Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.

And also for others who wish to play their GBA games with some more light, well say good-bye to that.

Now , one good thing about the DSi is DS Ware , but one can get things which are almost the same through Homebrew on the DS.

If the Dsi would still keep the GBA slot, add things more useful and not just put things for the heck of it.

It could have been waaaay better than the DS Lite, but now according to me , its worse than better.

However for all those who have bought the DSi , keep it. But the only thing is you wont be able to transfer pokemon that easily and play your classic GBA games.

Finally, for all those have have not bought the DSi , don’t buy it.

Wait for the DSi XL / LL and go for that. It has a way bigger screen along with those features although it removes the GBA slot, its the best one around in my opinion.

Hope you liked it!

Are you 12? The only bad thing is the removal of a GBA slot, which is a big deal, but you said to wait for the DSi XL, now why the heck would I do that? It has bigger screens, but the whole system is made for elderly people or people that stay home but still want to play handhelds without squinting.

The DSi Ware is alone one of the biggest reasons to get the DSi. I personally carry around a GBA SP anyway to play GBC and GB games, so yea.

If you are just buying a DS, buy the DSi, if you have a DS Lite, don’t buy the DSi unless you really want it.

@slowslow: the DSi XL is a bigger version, the way you put it is simply neglecting everything about it. Why not go for something bigger? Secondly, what about the major disadvantages with the games which involve the usage of GBA slot for certain advantages?

When you develop some console, you’re not supposed to eliminate the good things. Why did they even remove the GBA slot? Its like they did some kind of alternative to DS Lite. Like buy the DSi , for Ware but no GBA slot or buy the DS for slot but no Ware. They should have kept both, according to me the GBA slot overpowers the DS Ware. Also isnt it better to just carry one console rather than two around with you everywhere?

The GBA slot can’t overpower the Ware, because if I want to play GBA games I still have the option of playing them on my GBA, but there’s no other system I can play the Ware on.

The reason you don’t want to go for something bigger is it would be impossible to fit it into your pocket.

There’s only a handful of games that use the GBA slot.

But if you want to play games which provide certain advantages if the game’s GBA version has to be in the slot, then what?
