How to Beat Thunderbird in Zelda Two Adventure of Link

This is the next to last boss in the Nintendo game Zelda 2 The Adventure Of Link. This game was released on the classic NES system, and has also been released on the Nintendo Wii virtual console. Both games are identical, so you can use these tips for the cartridge version, and the download version.

It is very important to have your magic power filled up, before you encounter this boss. In the room before the boss, break all of the blocks. Sometimes you will find a red jar to fill up your magic. You will need this in order to fight this boss.

Now with your magic power maxed out, cast the following spells. Cast the shield spell on Link. This will allow the damage you take to be cut in half. Believe me, you will need it for this next to last boss. You will also need to jump to high places in the room, so cast jump on Link. The last spell you need to cast is the reflect spell. This will cause most of the Thunderbird attacks to miss you. His fireballs won’t hurt you with this spell.

When you enter the room, the Thunderbird will come out. If you try to damage him, you won’t be able to hurt him at all. In order to find his weak spot, you need to cast the Thunder spell when he is competely on the screen.

Now after the spell is casted, you will be able to see his face. Now keep jumping up and striking his face. He moves around quickly, so after you jump up and strike him, move to the other side of the room. Turn around and put some more strikes to him. Keep moving to the opposite side of the room after you jump up and attack.

When you do this, he will come right towards you, so this will be your opportunity to jump up and strike him in his weak spot. Keep doing this and you will eventually kill him. You might have to try a few times before you can defeat him, just don’t give up. With the spells that I told you to use, you will have the best chance to win.
