World 8.0 Castle Star Coins New Super Mario Bros Wii

This is the first castle in New Super Mario Bros Wii for the Nintendo Wii. This is also called the mid castle for the eighth world. Follow this Nintendo article below to get all three Star Coins for this part of New Super Mario Bros Wii.

There are three Star Coins in the first castle of world 8. There are two different castles in this world which are the first one called the mid castle, and then the final castle. This guide is for the mid castle one. If you’ve completed getting the numbered level coins, then you only have a few more to go. Nintendo has cleverly hidden one of them, but the other two are out in the wide open to get. Follow the Nintendo tips to finish the world 8 castle.

Inside of the first castle in world 8 of New Super Mario Bros Wii, there are a lot of big moving platforms. When you find the first Star Coin, it’s right under a spinning fire wheel. One of the moving platforms will go right under there, so this is how you need to get the coin. You’ll need to watch how the platform moves with the fire, and  then make your timing just right to grab the coin. These are the same fire spinning things from the original Nintendo Super Mario Bros game, and as you know, avoid touching them so you don’t die.

Nintendo cleverly hid the second Star Coin for world 8 in New Super Mario Bros Wii. This one is not out in the open, and you won’t know where to find it. Well, that is, unless you look up some tips on the Internet to help you. The second one is right under the check point flag. Directly under the flag is a hidden cave that contains the second Star Coin for the world 8 castle. Look at the blocks under the flag and you’ll see a section  containing a lot of smaller square blocks. This is the secret cave you need to jump into. How do you do it?

You need to take your Nintendo character and jump from the platforms coming out of the left wall. The platforms coming from the left wall lead right to under the hidden cave. As soon as you jump into the little squares that are right under the checkpoint flag, the hidden cave will become visible. In this hidden cave is a door. Go through the door and grab the coin, then return back out. You can keep jumping up through the cave and hit the checkpoint from there. There is no need to go back down and make it more difficult to reach the flag. This is how you get Star Coin number two for this part of New Super Mario Bros Wii.

The third Star Coin for the world 8 castle is right in the spot where the second one was. This one is out in the open and is just to the left of the checkpoint flag. Nintendo made getting the second one a little tricky, but the third one is easily visible for you to see. Just under this one is another fire spinning chain, and there is a little hole to go under. You can’t walk through the hole as big Mario. If you are big Mario, then run up to the little hole and then “duck down” real quick to slide under the hole. Grab it, and then jump up to get out.

This completes the world 8 castle #1 Star Coins for New Super Mario Bros Wii. There is another castle to go through, plus an airship in world 8. The guides to getting the Star Coins for these worlds will be coming soon, so be on the lookout for them. You now almost have every Star Coin for your New Super Mario Bros Wii game.
