Xbox Live Update 2/23/2012

Xbox live had an update today on February 23, 2012. Thought I’d let people know what it’s about.

Xbox live had an update today. Nothing big, but I’m sure you noticed when it kicked you off of Netflix for it, and probably want to know why you missed the last half of that episode of Weeds.

Well, both the kernel and dashboard were updated to version 2.0.14719.0.

There was a bug that you may have seen recently, where everyone in your party all of a sudden had the same gamertag. This obviously caused a lot of confusion, and was a glitch from a previous update.

It is also rumored they have added additional anti-piracy measures. Many people have been using XBL code generators and modded xboxes to cheat the system, and they are trying to fight that.

I cannot find any other changes or updates to the system, even when searching for update information.

Thanks for the update about this update :) Modders need to get a life… and a job. Maybe then, they’ll appreciate developers’ work and they’ll start paying for games like everyone else. I don’t give a f**k if this update screws up their modded little trashcans.

I have a job, work full time, make more than minimum wage, and can’t afford video games. I don’t have a modded Xbox 360, but usually people who mod them can’t afford the games in the first place.
