About The Halo Games: Halo Three Odst (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper)
A great review and guide on Halo three Orbital Drop Shock Trooper.
Love your Call of Duty, Combat Arms, Crossfire and other First-person shooting games? Treasure your Halo games? Halo 3 ODST for Xbox 360 is right for you. Everything here is included to complete your gaming experience.
In Halo 3 ODST, you play as ‘The Rookie’. Your objective is to find out and investigate what happened to your ODST squad teammates. When you get to certain areas in the canpaign you play in flashbacks as to what your squadmates did in that pervious area. There are also other modes for different moods and the game can take up to 2 players (4 with Xbox Live Membership).
The game is recommended for those who like the games listed above. If you’re new to the First Person Shooting game league, it is recommended that you try some of the simpler games first before moving up and playing high-tech, new games. However, the game is not suitable for extremely young children (10 and under) and preferably not suited for upper primary (10-12) due to the game’s rating of M (mature).
When starting out, make sure that you get used to controls (not just in this game, but in any game). Check that all functions are working before you go too far and make sure that you remember that the game is only for fun, and not for getting stress creation or frustration overloading.
Halo 3 ODST was released on Tuesday the 22nd of September, 2009 in USA. If you liked the game, try other FPS games including Combat Arms (PC), Crossfire (PC), Call of Duty (PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360), Halo [1] (Xbox, PC) and Halo 2 (Xbox, PC).
Halo 3 ODST also comes with a multiplayer beta version of the upcoming Halo: Reach. It also comes with a second disk which contains all 24 maps for Halo 3 and also an extra 3 new maps that cannot be obtained any other way.
There is also a new multiplayer co-op mode called firefight. This is a mode where you can play with up to 3 other people over xbox live or system link whil also being able to play with one other person via local play. it is similar to gears of war’s Hoard mode in the sense that firefight is essentially a neverending wave of enemies that get progressively harder.
Firefight is counted in waves, rounds and sets. one wave is just one squad of covanent forces deployed to kill you, a round is a group of 5 waves which after you get some time to restock on ammunition and set up a defensive perimeter and finally a set is a group of 5 rounds after which you get a longer period of time than you did when you completed a round.
The default weapons for any map or campaign level are usually the M7S SUBMACHINE GUN and the M6S MAGNUM. both of these weapons have zoom capabilities of 2x and 4x respectively. Both of these weapons have sound suppressors.
Overall, Halo 3 ODST is definitely recommended for FPS fans and is also worth trying for those who haven’t done so yet. Thanks for reading and please comment! Also click ‘I liked it’ if you did.
