This is the first expansion pack for Battlefield 3 and as map packs go, Back to Karkand is hard to fault, the four maps themselves are top quality, they are tried and trusted classics from the Battlefield 2 game that have been thoughtfully reconstructed for the most up to date and modern visual effects, with a new added game mode available, Conquest Assault is a welcome addition to the multi player play-lists, the new vehicles and weapons have given the game a new dimension,
If you are a Battlefield 3 on-line player you will probably have already downloaded this first expansion pack, no matter whether you have downloaded it for free with the limited addition pack, or have decided to buy the Back to Karkand pack, one thing is for sure and that is it’s well worth downloading and playing, you will not be disappointed

There are 10 new additional weapons that must be unlocked by completing assignments, for example to earn the FAMAS assault rifle you will have to heal and revive ten players, this may sound annoying for some players but it does mean that you’re encouraged to play with the maps and new additions in lots of different ways to get the full 10 weapons,
Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand – MAPS
Four New Multiplayer maps are the main attraction, although new, they are in fact remastered maps from the older Battlefield games, Gulf of Oman, Sharqi Peninsula and Wake Island are all familiar maps to some however they have all been rebuilt to take full advantage of Battlefield 3’s visual effects, Strike at Karkand, arguably the most popular map in Battlefield’s history, is the best of these added maps.
