All Call of Duty Ghosts information up-to date.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is the newest installment in the Call of Duty franchise. With the soon to be released Next-Gen consoles over the horizon, the developer Infinity Ward decided to take the franchise in a new direction. Rather then going with the obvious (and what everybody was waiting for) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare remake the decided to take advantage of a new era and usher in their own new time line on the franchise. As stated by Mark Rubin, executive producer of developer Infinity Ward:
“Everyone was expecting us to make Modern Warfare 4, which would have been the safe thing to do. But we’re not resting on our laurels,” said Mark Rubin, executive producer of developer Infinity Ward.
“We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So we’re building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players. We can’t wait to share them with our community.
“Infinity Ward is going all-in to create the next generation of Call of Duty worthy of the world’s greatest fans.”
Call of Duty Ghosts is set to happen in the future but you as the player will be using modern day weapons and technologies because of a “major plot event”. The new game s also set to feature a new game engine which will update the graphics (even on current-gen consoles e.g Xbox 360, PS3), also with the Call of Duty engine players will benefit from more destructable environments, better physics, character animations, realism, and of-course; graphics.
Multiplayer details aren’t many but the maps should be much more player interactive, and will feature traps in which the player will die, much like in previous maps found on DLC.
Call of Duty Ghosts is set to launch on November 5th on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and next-gen consoles (Wii-U is not confirmed, although it is believed to be part of the “Next-Gen”.
