the only thing i no of for the advantages is you can play copied games

but the disadvantages are alot you can get banned for life off xbox live,your xbox get break,the disc are hard to find in regular shops with them being dvd_r dl ,you need a dvd dl burner which are £40 so there are many disadvantages but i would still recomend getting it done  for when it is done you can save alot of money 10 retail games cost =£400 10 dual layer disc cost £4.98 so all in all you do save money for the risk of being banned off xbox live.
