How to get Recon Armor

The rumors are true! It is finally possible to get the Recon Armor for Halo 3 multiplayer!

Bungie has announced that after the release of Halo 3: ODST for the Xbox 360 that the general population of the Halo 3 multiplayer universe would be able to aquire the Recon Armor for their characters to wear during online games.

To get the Recon armor you must very simply unlock all of the “Vidmaster” achievements. This is of course much harder than it seems. Firstly, you will need to acquire a copy of Halo 3: ODST due to the fact that 3 of the achievements (arguably the most difficult ones) are on that disc.

One you have completed all of the achievements shown below you will be able to use the Recon Armor:

Halo 3:

Vidmaster Challenge: Brainpan- 25GP:

Collect all of the Mythic Skulls (Halo 3: ODST Multiplayer Disc required)

Vidmaster Challenge: Lightswitch- 0GP:

Get to Lieutenant rank on the new ranking system.

Vidmaster Challenge: 7 on 7- 0GP:

Reach 7XP on any playlist on the 7th of any month.

Vidmaster Challenge: Annual- 0GP:

Complete the level “Halo” with all 4 players in Ghosts and the Iron Skull activated, over Xbox Live.

Halo 3: ODST

Vidmaster Challenge: Classic- 25GP:

Finish any level on Legendary with no shots fired and no grenades thrown.

Vidmaster Challenge: Déjà vu- 25GP:

Complete Highway on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron skull activated, and no Warthog or Scorpion.

Vidmaster Challenge: Endure- 25GP

In Firefight, on any mission, pass the 4th Set on 4-player Xbox Live match.

If you complete all of these achievements, all of which are difficult but do-able, then you will be finally rewarded with the Recon Armor!
