Left for Dead

So, who does not love a mindless zombie killing game being on?  If you have been looking for a new game that involves blood, guts, guns, and zombies, Left 4 Dead (L4D) is the game for you!  This game looks absolutely mind-blowing (no pun intended) from first glance.  First off the graphic detail of the game is simple fantastic! The graphics completely give you the feel of being one of the four survivors, trying to get to your evacuation point!  Plus, one of my personal favorites is being able to shoot the zombie’s limbs off or splatter them all over the walls.  Second the game play is quite amazing.  The AI levels are drastically different, and are well suited for their labels.  There are four levels, Beginner, Normal/Medium, Advanced, and Expert.  The expert is insanely hard to beat by yourself and the computers.  Aside from the intense zombie killing, there are four different campaigns to get your feet wet and to get a full feel for the game before moving to online play.  There are two different online types, the campaign play and then versus. In campaign you simply play with 1-3 other people through the campaign of your choice! Versus is a 2-8 player match where four are survivors and 4 are the special classes of zombies, boomers, tanks, hunters, and smokers.  The game quite simply never gets boring and constantly is full of surprises.  The many variety of weapons and destructibles gives this game many different possibilities and variety! I give this game a 10/10 easily.  Definitely one of the best games of late ‘08 early ‘09!
