Speculation That Microsoft Will Raise Xbox Live Price After E3
For the first time since it has been released, Microsoft decides to increase the price of Xbox Live.
Xbox Live has been a major hit since it’s release in 2002. It has allowed gamers of all nationalities to play their favorite games together, but now it is raising it’s price for the first time in 8 years by $10, making a yearly subscription $59.99, up from $49.99. Despite this, Xbox fans are not intent in dropping the service, or purchasing a Play Station 3, that provides it’s gaming network for free. Reasons for this are the upcoming games this holiday season. A major Xbox exclusive, Halo Reach, which is coming out this September is going to be a large hit, causing gamers to hold onto their Xbox 360’s and pay the extra fee. Weather or not it may be worth it, Xbox Live is adding ESPN to it’s list of features, enabling users to watch ESPN on their Xbox. Weather or not it may be worth it, Microsoft is firm in making the change and gamers are willing to pay the price.
