Angry Birds Rio: Awards

A lot of angry bird rio users are all asking the same question and its what do the awards do in Angry Birds Rio.

The awards in Angry Birds Rio are for completing the level set, getting all the stars, and getting all the golden items. Each completion gives you an award in the award section but what do they do? The answer they do not do anything as of right now but look good on you completion of the game. They might do something later on in the game but the update come in at May and end at November as far as what is known about  the game.

Now that you know that the awards basically do not do anything as of right now you might as well figure out what you have to do to get them just in case some cool bonuses come out later for them.

Competing the Level Set-

  • The first level set, Smugglers Den, gives you a gold bird cage and to get this you have to at least get one star for each level.
  • The second level set, Jungle Escape, gives you a golden Palm Tree and to get this again you have to get at least a star per level.
  • The third level set, Beach Volley, gives you a golden Beach Ball

Getting all the stars for the level set-

  • For each set you do not get a new trophy but you do get a star attached to it.
    • For Smugglers Den the star goes in the birdcage.
      • For 3 stars help on part 1 of Smugglers Den go here.
    • For Jungle Escape the star goes on top of the palm tree

Getting golden items for the level set-

  • In Smugglers Den the golden item is a pineapple.
    • To find these look for boxes with labels on them and just for them to be randomly around the level in the open. They are not really hidden too much.
  • In Jungle Escape the golden item is a banana.
    • To find these look in random crates, randomly around the level, and in the green bushes.
      • Some of these are very trick to get and require some skill and one for me is hidden very difficulty and I have spent a few days looking for it and have not found it.
  • In Beach Volley the golden item is a watermelon.
    • To find look for random crates, things hanging from the top of the level, beach balls with a green stripe, and just plain watermelons in ridiculous places.
      • Since in real life watermelons are not easy to crack, rovio has factored this in and has made earning the watermelon a little bit harder. So try and use as much force and destruction when you spot the a possible watermelon as simply knocking it down will no longer do.

Those are all the awards that I have found so far and achieved. Also if you find all 15 bananas or 15 watermelons comment on here the locations if you can. This last banana is tricky and I have not found it and I am just now looking for the watermelons, I was just playing around in the new levels. Oh and one more thing look out for a how to guide because I might get bored and make one haha because I have pretty much beat 99% of the game completely.
