Assassin Blue

Assassin blue is a fun, addictive platforming game driven by clever gameplay mechanics and a thrilling storyline.

Assassin blue has to be one of, or my favorite Indie Game I’ve ever played. It is created with the program Game Maker 7, which is also the program I use to design games with, and by Banov. I’ve respected Banov ever since I came across one of his earlier games, Wolf, but that’s a different story.

Assassin Blue, anyhow, is an action packed platforming sword fighter, with a unique visual style, jaw dropping(although a bit cliche) storyline, stunning music, and addicting game play. The game is based mostly on a combo system combat, pressing the ‘X’ key and, with unlock able combos, ‘C’ in succession to perform wicked awesome sword moves. Even with this, Banov gives you a break from the combat and gives you some challenging puzzles to solve, and targets spread throughout the game to find, which are used to unlock bonuses in a Bonus Shop, such as new combos, a boss-rush(where you fight all the bosses in succession) and a secret cut scene. The game has a total of 12 levels, broken up into four sections and three levels each.

You play as Blue, an assassin working for an organization who are supposedly trying to create ‘peace’ in a chaotic and war filled world. Might I also mention Blue is totally kick-ass? He comes out with witty, sardonic remarks, and is totally full of confidence (and himself). He goes through multiple assassinations, although he starts to get clues about his boss’ true intentions, and beings to question him…

Assassin Blue really is a great game, with some spectacular aspects, and if you’re looking to spend an afternoon enjoying yourself, its free of charge and just awaiting you at:
