Call of Duty Five (World at War) – Fastest Way to Reach Prestige Level

Let me explain what prestige is on Call of Duty World At War. When you reach level 65 with your experience, you can reset everything in the game except your stats. This will also reset perks and weapon achievements. You will also receive a rank of your prestige level and how many times you have reached the level 65 in the game. The rank is a very good one and I was so happy the day I got it but some decide to not go prestige and stay at level 65 just to keep their perks and weapons. These people usually fall behind others and don’t get much glory after a while.

As a beginner, your first matches are limited to under corporal (level learn the ropes but when you reach the level 8 you will be able to play team deathmatches. These will give you more experience than in Free For All. In this mode, if you get a 3 kill streak you will get a recon plane and this will show you the locations of all your enimies. A 5 kill streak will get you a artillery strike(doesn’t call it on your allies) If you manage to get a 7 kill streak you will get a revisit that will bring you a pack of dogs! Dogs will get you lots and lots of kills if your fighting newer players buy if they are average and a regular deathmatch player they won’t get killed by dogs but while they are fighting the dogs they will be distracted and this makes them easy targets for you to kill.

If you call in your dogs try to protect them. Watch the map and chase down anyone attacking them. Its hard to use my main strategy when in the normal team deathmatches so try your best to get as many kills as possible to get as many experience points as possible. The fastest way to do this is to use only Sub-Machine guns. I suggest using the Thompson until you reach 150 kills and get the 1000 experience for completing the challenge. When you reach this point you should have the MP40 unlocked and do the same thing getting 150 kills to get the bonus again.

After this you should be now able to play Hardcore Team Deathmatch. In these matches your health is much lower so be prepared. You can continue to use submachine guns, as you unlock new guns don’t forget to quickly get 150 kills. After you have done 150 kills with all the sub-machines use your Thompson and try and get 150 headshots. This will give you a second bonus. Do this again with the MP40. Many think that sniping is good and using a full machine gun is better but the slow reacting and reloading simply make you a sitting duck and a very easy target.

The Sub-Machine guns are the faster way to rank up but you may want to experiment with other guns. At this point you must understand how important perks are. Many people think that the explosive perks are the best but you usually teamkill a lot and you only get two!!! Two kills that is. Bouncing Bettys and Rifle Grenades are a waste of perk but learning how to use the 3X special grenades and the tabun gas can be deadly. You can easily injure your enemies for easy kills. You can use the Bouncing Bettys when you reach a certain proper level but when you unlock the Bandolier INSTANTLY change Perk 1 so that  around double the ammo will get you more kills then 2 self-killing and team killing explosives. This is a important part to don’t forget. Perk 2 should be, I recommend to be sopping power since the game will make the most subs two hit kills! Now for you final perk I would recommend using deep impact as you can go through walls and kill people who thought they were safe. Note: As soon as the Second Change is available you must change Perk 3.

Now, you might say that no one will ever heal you so whats the point? Well put it and other will heal you. Heal your teammates anytime you can and they will notice, next time you are low on health and damaged they will come to your help and assist saving you a death.

Now this is the big part. Listen up, this will get you over 1000 points per game but you must do it in proper order or you it will not work. When a game begins, be careful and rush their spawn point. This will usually get you a easy and quick 3-5 kills. Also try and ’snipe’ and not with a scope, I mean hiding or being sneaky. Your goal is to get 7 kills as fast as possible without dyeing. Take extra care to make sure you don’t die. If you die keep trying until you reach the 7 Kill streak. You will need to get 7 kills in the first 5 minutes for this to work properly. The dogs in COD5 give you a great ability. Some call it, looping your kills! Don’t use your dogs strait away, keep them. Okay now kill yourself…..thats right, go into a room you shouldn’t be in and just kill yourself. I find this quite fun. Go into a run not being careful at all and shot your enemies until you die. As soon as you die, the first thing you do is to call in your dogs! You should also now be cautious. 

Now go and try to get kills without getting shot. You have your dogs for 60 seconds and that is plenty of time to get another 7 kills for more dogs. People will be distracted by the dogs and that makes them targets. If they shoot the dogs, you can shoot them. If they shoot you, the dogs will kill them. This way you will easily reach 7 Kills again, just be careful and don’t die. Once you get new dogs, go kill yourself again. just go running into somewhere or obvious traps and die. Once again, as soon as you die call in your dogs. Keep repeating! Note: If you call in your dogs before you die the kills you get will not count towards your kill streak. This is why you have to die first. So don’t call them in until you die unless you have under 1 minute left or if you are trying to get your best kill streak.

If you work hard and follow these tips and use proper weapons and perks you will easily average 1000 experience points per 10 minute games unless you reach the score limit and that is always nice and I do it every now and again. The bonuses for all of the sub-machines comes to about 13000 points!!! I don’t have an exact number but it is somewhere around 13000. The points required to prestige in COD5 is about 30,000 so having 13000 your about 40% there!

I find that that is the fastest way to rank up and I have gotten prestige for myself and two friends. You should definitely use these tips and get prestige as it is the best!
