Call of Duty Four Sniping Guide
In my last guide I talked a little bit about sniping but I decided to go more in depth about it.
To be a good sniper it takes a lot of skill and knowledge of the game. if you just started playing this game recently or do not know much about the map you are on i do not suggest sniping.
Ok so lets start out by finding out what type of class you should use. Your gun if you are a beginner or a experienced player should probably be the M40A3 sniper it is without doubt the best sniper in the game period. With low recoil and high damage it is my number one choice. The R700 would be my next choice because of damage and penetration but the recoil and 4 round clip do sometimes get in the way. My next choice would be the M21 because it has almost no recoil its semi-automatic and is devastating in hardcore. However if you are not in hard core it will take 2 shots unless you hit the upper torso, neck, or head. The next best gun is the 50 cal i personally don’t like the gun i think it has some hit register problems and the recoil is the worst. And finally we come to the Dragunov the absolute worst sniper in the game almost never kills in one hit has to much recoil for its fire rate and is just bad.
Perks
Perk 1 – This perk is entirely up to you, claymores are good to watch your back but i constantly move when I’m sniping so i don’t use them, bandolier is good if you are amazing or if your just really bad with your aim but this perk wont affect you.
Perk 2 – If you are not playing hard core then this perk MUST be stopping power. If you don’t pick stopping power then stop complaining when your shot don’t kill in one hit. If you have stopping your shots will always be one hit kills unless they have juggernaut or you shoot them in the hand or foot. If you playing hard core then i would use something like UAV jammer or overkill.
Perk 3 – Another perk that is up to you I prefer steady aim just in case the fight gets close and I can quick scope better. I don’t like iron lungs because I think its a waste if you are a good sniper you don’t need the extra time to line up your shot. Deep impact is also a good choice here.
OK now that you have your class set up time to learn how to use it.
Now the first thing you have to know when you are a sniper is the areas people like to run threw most on a map. Get a good view of the area and get ready. Now do not sit there or stay in the same area the whole game. If people aren’t coming that way find a new spot keep moving. I always move when I’m a sniper . I find a good spot get 3 or 4 kills then I move. As I said in my last guide if you are a good sniper you will be the most annoying thing in the world for the other team and they will come after you. The second you feel the enemy is getting mad at you move. If you shoot the same guy twice or more get out of there more than likely he will switch to a sniper class and he will have the edge on you because he knows where you are but you don’t know where he will be. By constantly moving you will have more kills and more deaths and try to make it so the other team is never certain of your location. Another thing is do not go into the obvious sniper spots such as the hill on pipeline or the back buildings on cross fire because the second I see that I was killed by a sniper in and obvious spot like that is I come back and kill him and 90% of the time they will still be there. When I snipe most of the time i am on the ground level or on the same level as them.
My next point is the ghilli suit when wearing you don’t really blend in as much as you think so don’t rely on your “camouflage” when you sniping on a place like overgrown. I do not use the acog on my sniper because even though it can give you a chance in a medium range fight I can quick scope just as good and I think the acog is for wannabes that play sniper lobbies and think they are good and then make a montage.
Try to stalk your prey and always know where they are and where they are coming from and i can not stress this enough DO NOT CAMP. follow these tips and you should become a better sniper.

a little mistake in the middle of the guide i ment to say more kills and less deaths if you constanly change your location
