Call of Duty: World at War Nazi Zombie Advice

I wrote this guide so that hopefully everyone will benefit and survive to higher waves in the Nazi Zombies Game Mode. You can use these tips for either Solo or Cooperative on any Nazi Zombie Map. If you don’t want too much to read please scroll to the bottom and I will have written a summary. Also there are two videos walking you through the earlier Waves.

There are probably so many other guides out there but I’ll try to include my personal techniques to attempt to make this guide unique.

First of all I always find people who use all of their pistol rounds in the first/second wave. You want to get as much Points as possible so you can purchase guns and perks later on. On the first wave it should be five shots to the stomach and wait for them to knock down the barriers and come in. After this you knife each one of them. Be careful on “Zombie Verrückt” and “Shi No Numa” because they are much quicker. If you happen to be next to two of them, they could swipe you down in an instant. In “Nacht Der Untoten” you can repetitively go back and forth knifing zombies.

Shooting the zombies will give you 10 Points per hit so try to line them up to save ammunition. Knifing them to finish them off will give you 130 Points as apposed to 100 Points. Letting them in allows you to fix the barriers before the next wave (assuming you left one zombie, preferably a slow one or a Crawler). Leaving zombies at the end of rounds gives you time to buy weapons, revive your team, get into position and fix barriers. Additionally letting them inside gives you the bonuses like “Insta-Kill” and “Double Points”.

Wave 3,4 or 5 should be the time to make a move on any Zombie Map. Naturally the Player with the most Points should open/clear the next passage. In Zombie Verrückt you will only really make a move so that you can get the SMG. Otherwise you want to make one straight, swift movement to the Power Room. In the other two Maps if you have 950+ Points you should take a chance with the Mystery Box. By the way you shouldn’t be tempted to buy any of the weapons that you see on the wall in the starting room.

Sometimes you happen to get a poor weapon from the Mystery Box. On Nacht Der Untoten this does not matter too much, especially if you are doing this in Cooperative. In Shi No Numa if this is the case then it’s probably worth buying the 1897 Trench Gun off the wall. This is because you will get Hell Hounds biting you after you in any of the Waves 5, 6 or  7. The Trench Gun is perfectly designed for Hell Hounds, every time you hit one reload before your Character attempts to pump it.

Always at any point in the game you should be using up the ammunition of your worst gun. So for later Waves you should in theory have a more effective weapon. Obviously if you have the M2 Flamethrower use that because it somehow has an infinite supply of gas. The Flamethrower becomes ineffective very quickly and needs to be exchanged for something by about Wave 8.

As you can see above there is a Teddy Bear coming out of the Mystery Box. This can happen in sometimes Zombie Verrückt and a lot in Shi No Numa. In getting the Teddy Bear this will result in the movement of the Mystery Box. In Zombie Verrückt you could find it anywhere within the Asylum. In Shi No Numa if you simply go outside and look up to the sky you should see a green beam or a rainbow beam. These beams descend vertically from the sky onto the Mystery Box, thus making it easier to find.

Summary:

Let the Zombies enter the building, so you can get temporary power-ups.

Knife to finish them off, saves ammo and gives you more points.

Attain Juggernaut ASAP and possibly Speed Cola slightly later.

By about Wave 10 you should have automatically worked out a system.

Erm, thanks for that there were a few things in there that I wouldn’t have thought of, like the knifing of the first few zombies, there is one limit to that though in that when you board the windows back up they don’t give you points for all of them, they stop giving you points after a certain number of boards. Second, this is a good tutorial but after the first rounds you left it very vague. There wasn’t anything there that I haven’t been doing already. I am a decent shot and still can’t reach past lvl 10. If you split the tutorial into a section for each level and then give individual, unique tips about each, like good camping areas, which areas not to go in for dogs and all of that, would be much more productive.

Okay Daniel, if I can find the time I will try to create more specific guides aimed individually towards each of the Waves. Thanks for commenting.
