Rapid Fire Macro for CoD4: Logitech G9

Use your gaming mouse to create a rapid fire macro.

Have you ever squared off against an opponent who has a semi-auto gun who ripped his whole clip into you before you could react?  Do you wonder “How the hell did he shoot so quick?”.  So either the player is a FPS god, with a lightning fast trigger finger, or they are using a script or macro to fire more quickly.

Writing a macro is probably the easiest way to get rapid fire.  A macro is a series of keystrokes or mouse clicks that can be executed by pressing a single button.  I have written a macro for my logitech G9 mouse that fires 3 bullets in less than .2 seconds.

Basically you want to have your macro (regardless of what software/mouse you are using) to be very short left left mouse clicks, with at least a 60ms delay between clicks.  You can have as many clicks as your like.  You could even have it empty your whole clip if you want.  As you can see this macro is for a burst of three.  The last thing you must do is map the macro to one of the buttons on your mouse so it can be used it in game.

This works great with a pistol or sniper.  I personally use it with the M21 a lot.  I just scope in on an enemy and blast 3 quick rounds at them.  It’s an instant kill every time.
