How to be Better Counter-Strike Player
Counter-Strike is a semi-realistic counter-terrorism mod for the retail game Half-Life. Currently in its eighth version, and it has become the most played first-person shooter on the internet today.
Tactical Overview
A good Counter Strike player, more than most other first-person shooter, is dependant on tactics. Tactics in many cases is more in important than individual skill, Though that too plays a factor. Here, kills are not as important as team victories, and few players go with no deaths. The only way to win is to work together.
Hostage Maps
Most CS maps are hostage maps (usually designated whit a cs_ at the beginning of the map name). In these, the CT’s Assault the Ts and sometimes try to rescue the hostages, but for the most part just try to kill another team.
For the most part, the Ts have the advantage, since they usually they in them resp.
Bomb Maps
For the must part, it’s very different map from hostage map, Ts has to attack, plant the bomb (c4) while CTs has to defend them territory, and if Ts plant the bomb Cts needs to defuse it.
