Demon’s Souls Servers to Remain Online for Forseeable Future
Players who still enjoy getting the crap kicked out of them in Demon’s Souls can breath a littleeasier now. Originally the games servers were going to end on May 31st, at Midnight. Now the game has gotten a stay of execution, if you will.
Publisher Atlus announced this morning that it will continue to support the game’s online features. Saying the servers wouldstay up for the “foreseeable future”, or until people stop playing the game online.
“While it originally seemed as though it would be unfeasible forus to continue to sustain the servers, a number of developments have made it possible for us to continue to invest in and support our fans as they have continued to invest in and support us and Demon’s Souls . For all the gamers who have yet to discover the game’s amazing online experience, we’re happy to say you can still log on and find out why Demon’s Souls is still regarded by many as one of the finest games of all time,” said Tim Pivnciny, Vice President of Atlus marketing and sales.
The game, first released back in 2009, won a lot of praise from critics and found itself in a good market for those gamers who love a blistering challenge. Right now you can get the game for around twenty bucks , so if you’re up for the challenge pick up the game, and be happy the online servers (important for the game) are still up. The entry fee for electronic sadism is a mere $20 now, as the game is part of the PlayStation 3’s”Greatest Hits” collection. The game’s online features were intended to end at midnight on May 31 , but darkness always finds a way to stay alive.
