The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion
Review of the Xbox 360 game The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion by Bethesda.
This, my friends must be the best game I have ever played in my life and, believe me, i’ve played alot of games. This is a single-player role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks and the Take-two Interactive subsidiary 2K games. It is the fourth in The Elder Scrolls video game series and has a number of game add-ons.
In Oblivion you take the role of an escaped prisoner, who must thwart the evil schemes of a fanatical cult who are opening hellish gates to the monsterous realm of Oblivion. It takes up where the previous game left off.You can travel anywhere in the world at any given time.
The main reason I love this game so much is that you control who you want to be, if you want to become an assassin who cares for nothing but gold then you do that, if you want to become leader of gang of thieves you can do that. The main quest can be completely ignored while you explore the expansive world of Cyrodil. You may develop your charecter into a mage, a thief, a knight, or a combination of all three as you choose from a wide variety of skills to focus on.The game does not end after the main quest and you are still free to venture about and complete the many side-quests.There is a wide variety of enimies like monsters and animals, and alot of weapons. As the player becomes more powerful in the game the enemies will become more powerful too to rise to your challenge.
There is an exellent fast-traveling system so when you discover one of the many loacation it appears on you map and you can return to this location instantly. One of the most awesom things here is the stealth system which allows the player to hide from friend and foe alike by blending in with the darkness. The amount of light and the clothing you wear all affect this.
There is a few add-ons to the game which let you take hold of various new weapons and quests. The two most important add-ons would be The Shivering Isles and the knights of the nine. The shivering Isles being the only expansion pack allows you to explore a whole new area ranging from dark and demonic to colourful and bright.
This game is the winner of the best RPG of E3 and so it should have.I don’t think that you couldn’t like this game for me it was like the more I played it the mor addicted I was, it lasted me a solid 9 months and I still play it the odd time.
If you are in any way into role-playing games then i’m sure this will blow your mind!
