Fallout: New Vegas, Great. Disguise Idea, Not So Great
An opinion based article on the Disguise Idea in Fallout: New Vegas.
So, I got New Vegas, Like I thought it would be, it’s the best game I’ve played in a while. I loved every minute of it but when I got slightly into the game and met up with some powder ganger’s, I killed them and took their armor. When I equip the armor it tells me that I am now disguised as one of the powder ganger’s. This is a great Idea! I thought, until I realized that, though this is the best armor I could find at my low level, I am hated by nearly all other 45 tribes in the game. Wearing the armor in a different tribe causes me to get shot at and quickly disliked from that group of people. Further along in the game I met up with the Brotherhood and get the ability to wear power armor. I find some good power armor but, unfortunately, it disguises me. I Don’t need to be disguised as a brotherhood member considering I’m well loved and a part of the brotherhood group. So I get no benefits from being disguised, but I do get consequences. I walk into New Vegas, My practical home town now, and get blazed by bullets from NCR officers. So now I have I can’t wear my greatly appreciated armor without another tribe hating me. Although I could wear another form of power armor that doesn’t disguise me I would much rather wear the armor with the best defense as any other person would.
There was one time where the disguise Idea almost helped me. I had to go to a legion fort to find the army of robots and talk to Cesar. Unfortunately I’m only disguised until I talk to him so He ends up attacking me including his mob of legion. So I can’t talk to Cesar even with my disguise, so it makes me wonder, what’s the point of the Disguise Idea at all? It’s completely pointless in my opinion, if you disagree ;eave a comment explaining why and how you use it to your advantage.
