Goldeneye 007: Reloaded

The Bestselling First Person Shooter returns this year, this time on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

GoldenEye 007, when it was released in 1997 for the Nintendo 64, revolutionised the First Person Shooter genre, with its realistic gameplay, and introduction of multiplayer deathmatch on consoles. Some say it paved the way for the games of today such as Call of Duty, Halo etc. Even now, 14 years later, it is nearly always on lists of the Greatest Video Games.
At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, Activision announced GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, a remastered release of the Wii version to be released on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Featuring High Definition Graphics, a new game engine, an achievement system, new “Mi6 Ops Missions” and Playstation Move compatibility, this looks to be a solid game. Whether it can rival Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is unknown, but for sure it will attract a large fan base. For PS3 users, Activision announced on 14th September, that they plan to release an exclusive PlayStation 3 bundle called “GoldenEye 007: Reloaded Double ‘O’ Edition” which will include access to the downloadable character Hugo Drax. The bundle will include a PlayStation Move motion controller, navigation controller, PlayStation Eye camera, and Sharp Shooter peripheral along with the game on Blu-ray Disc. The game will have Daniel Craig’s James Bond instead of the original Pierce Brosnan. The release date is set for 28th October in Europe, and 1st November in North America.

Please flag this article. It should be in Gaming, and even though I put in the category Gaming, the person managing this has problems.
