Grand Theft Auto IV

 Grand Theft Auto IV in short was a very good, addictive game, though i admit ive not yet completed the main storyline yet. The graphics for the game were very impressive, with the different effects such as cars detonating after being set on fire, and the actual gameplay itself has improved such as being able to access computers when parked in a police vehicle–or FBI vehicle, and by doing this you are able to hunt down a selected but limited number of criminals from the most wanted data base as well as being able to hunt people down if you know their surname. 

They’ve made the game more realistic itself, than previous games, as you’re not allowed to spawn the tank anymore, but you are allowed to spawn other vehicles such as the FBI Buffalo which is useful for missions when you need a cop car as such. I’m glad they’ve continued the ability to do car races, which is an extra bonus for gameplay. They’ve also added the ability to go to bars on a date and get drunk, and if you enter a car while drunk, it’s an immediate one star as its a new felony, with the police cars on sight chasing you.

The storyline itself seems good so far, doing missions whether it’s chasing targets on bikes, or killing targets. I like the way they’ve added on some targets, you can choose whether or not to kill them.

The downside of GTA IV, unfortunately it has a few negatives. So far I’ve noticed that you can’t do the taxi or cabbie missions from previous GTA games, you are no longer allowed to fly in airplanes unlike in the previous GTA games such as Vice City that had the Sea Plane by the print studios, and the various jets such as the Hydra in San Andreas.  You can own properties, but you can’t own properties that make money as far as I’m aware, like you could on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Also they’ve taken away the ability to have gang wars, and fight over territory, which was dissapointing, as this was brillant fun on San Andreas.

Suggestions for improvement for the next Grand Theft Auto. They could make the map larger like San Andreas, which had much more diversity in environment such as desert, countryside, two different styles of city life.They should keep adding different enviroments, like desert or for once a snowy environment, to keep the game fresh and exciting. They could also add properties that you can make money from such as drugstores, toy shops, print studios, taxi stations etc but these can also have a set of side missions that are available for the main character.  They could re-add military bases, and being able to go into police stations and impersonate police officers properly. They should re-add the ability to have gang warfare, fighting over different territories.
