How to Mod GTA San Andreas on a Mac

Modding the game is the perfect answer to your needs, but all the tutorials on how to mod GTA SA (Grand Theft Auto San Andreas) are on Windows. This tutorial will show you how to mod GTA SA on a Mac easily and with few stress as possible.
First you are going to want to download SAMI (san andreas mod installer).

Section 1- Installing Car Mods
Step 1: Find any car mod for GTA SA. I will be using this car mod http://www.thegtaplace.com/downloads/f1826-lamborghini-murci%C3%A9lago-lp640-2007
Step 2: Click the download button and when it comes up with this screen, hit save as and save it to anywhere. Once it is downloaded, it will be a .zip file. Don’t unzip the file.
Step 3: Open the Mod Installer program (SAMI) and you will be greeted by this error screen. Just click ok
Step 4: Click install a mod in the opening screen
Step 5: Click browse on the next screen
Step 6: Put the actual Grand Theft Auto game in the applications folder. After you hit browse hit the plus sign next to the / (slash) symbol. Then expand the applications folder and expand the GTA SA.app. Your San Andreas Directory is going to want to be located here,
/Applications/GTA San Andreas.app/Contents/Resources/Transgaming/c_drive/Rockstar Games/
Step 7: Now click the browse button for the Mod Location and locate the mod you downloaded. It should be in .zip or .rar format
Step 8: Hit countinue
Step 9: Click continue on the following screen. (the one with the woman on it)
Step 10: Name your car and select the car it will be replacing. Now click install.
Step 11: Close the mod program and open the GTA SA game. At first, it might not start and if it doesn’t and you freeze in game hit command-option-esc to force quit it. You will now have a modded car on GTA SA.
One thing. This SAMI is not working for mac….. i need any program to open that ? : PP answer on my email please
I don’t know how to get your email, how many times did you try to open it and what version of Mac do you have? You have to have leopard or higher to open the program i think.
i’ve got SAMI but what i wanted was like to change the gameplay like people on windows have better graphics and i really want that for my MAC any ideas how to do that ?
sofran, i use google chrome for my browser. i downloaded SAMI and the mod but when i open them it comes up and text edit and says that they cant be run in DOS mode. any ideas what to do? cheers
SAMI is a .exe file. How am I supposed to use that on a mac? Its for windows only…
yes man how did you run exe i think link was change
there is an app (wineskin) you can run exe with that but i still tryin to add somethings in gta3.img file
SAMI keeps quitting and coming up with message

Hey people, if you have GTA San Andreas in original version, SAMI not working. I have the GTA downloaded directly from the app store.Only working with the fucking not original version that is a shit.
Modifies the car stats, but not the look or name. Quite pointless.

Sami doesn’t work for me. Its an .exe file so its for windows only.

My San Andreas game doesnt have a “transgaming” file….help?
