The Rapper Has Brought an Action Against Founders Grand Theft Auto

The former participant of musical collective Cypress Hill Michael Vashington (Michael Washington) has brought an action against founders of a series of games Grand Theft Auto. Washington accuses companies Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive of illegal use of its image in game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. As indemnification he demands 25 percent of profit on game sales that makes 250 million dollars.
Washington asserts that in 2003 it has met representatives of company Rockstar Games and within two hours told it about activity of juvenile gangs in the USA. Representatives of the company promised to notify Washington if the character based on it appears in their game. According to Washington, from Rockstar Games with it didn’t communicate any more.

In the claim it is informed that Washington has learned about game San Andreas in July, 2010 from the nephew. It has compared appearance of protagonist San Andreas, Charles Johnson, to the old photos, and has found out that developers of game “have stolen” its image. Journalists have asked company Take-Two Interactive to comment on the claim of Washington. Representatives of the company have declared that the claim isn’t proved and that they intend to be protected.

San Andreas is the eighth game in series Grand Theft Auto. It left in 2004 on console PlayStation 2 and in 2005 on personal computers and console Xbox.
