How to Find Your Steam ID

Part 1 – Do you have console?

You’ll need to know what console is for getting your Steam ID. If you already know then step over to the next part.

Every Half-Life 1 and 2 games have console, but sometimes you have to activate it manually. To do that right click the on the steam games list the game / mod where you’re going to get the steam id and choose “Properties”

Then press the button “Set Launch Options…”

A window with a text box will show up. Type “-console”, if there is text already just add a space at end and then type it.

Part 2 – Getting your Steam ID

Now to get your Steam ID, run the game you just set console to and join a random server (empty is better).

Open console by pressing or ~ (depends on your keyboard) and type on console: “status”

Find your name on the list and copy your steam id!
