Halo Reach: Challenges (2/19/2012)

Your guide to today’s challenges.

Weekly:

Not Lough, High (30,000 cR)

Today is your last,  day to grab this juicy weekly challenge, but it’s quite a tricky one. Not Lough, High requires you to earn 250,000 points in any reach campaign mission. Sounds impossible, right? Nope! All you have to do to bag those 30,000 credits is find a mission where there is an infinite spawn of some sort. Because you are looking for points, not commendations, I would recommend just flying around the city and killing Banshees in the mission New Alexandria. It might take awhile, but you can snag a 30,000 cR weekly challenge, plus insane numbers of banshee kills towards your campaign commendations

Daily:

One Spartan Army (2000 cR)

Another bland firefight matchmaking challenge. Simply go in and play a few rounds of score attack. I usually play gruntpocalypse for fast kills, but I prefer fiesta attack as a fun game (pretty sure it has more enemies too). This one shouldn’t take too long, and again will get you a few commendation credits along the way.

Single Wield (2000cR)

Woo! Killing people with the pistol may seem like a bad idea, but it’s really quite effective. Those with a fast trigger finger will find it easy to smash through people’s assault rifles in any normal game-type, and for those who aren’t willing to risk pitting small arms against automatic weapons, there is always SWAT. You may find it hard to fin a game of SWAT magnums, but you can always just use a normal layout’s secondary for this. In a game of magnums, I usually get around 24 kills, but it might take less SWAT inclined people a game or two to put these credits in the bank.

Five-time Champ (4343cR)

All you have to do is win 5 matchmaking games. This is not hard. If you want fast credits, lots of multi-kills, and a lot of spam, play griffball. If you try-hard hammer jump past the bomb, you can score in about 4 seconds if you’re lucky. Shouldn’t take long at all in any game mode, though. The only requirement is to win. I would also use this game type because of the next challenge.

Multiplier (3000 cR)

Remember griffball? If you aren’t flying across the center of the map with the bomb, it’s really easy to sneak up behind people and bash in their head with a gravity hammer. Do a few kills within a short enough time, and it’s easy. I’ve found that if you walk to the side and kill the one guy who always tries to rush you, you can easily get behind their spawn and score a few overkills or higher. That is, of course, if you don’t have someone on your team super try-harding and scoring in 5 seconds.

Have fun with today’s challenges!
