CoD: WaW or Halo 3
My opinion of which game is better.
The match up of the two most successful first person shooters of this console generation, but which one is better?
Campaign
Cod:Waw
The cod campaign is broken down into 2 sections, Russian and American. What usually happens is you play two or three missions as one character, then a cliffhanger happens and you play as the other. This would work really well, if Cod waw was a movie, but it is not you turn off your console and generally forget what has happened, breaking the whole effect. The American campaign seems kind of same-ish and boring, whilst the Russian campaign is interesting, it has a whole angry feel to it of pushing the Germans out of Russia, then extracting sweet,sweet revenge. My overall highlight of the campaign is sniping general amsel in the face whilst he runs for cover, after he ordered your squad mates dead.
Halo 3
The halo 3 campaign is slightly boring if played by yourself, but is brilliant when played with 4 Friends, whilst cod can do this also i just prefer the feel Halo 3 has played with 4 friends. The halo campaign is filled with epic music and has vehicle missions which unlike most other first person shooters don’t drag on and feel good to play. My favourite part of the halo campaign is definitely the final mission, with epic music and an epic story, it is just all round awesome, you drive on a warthog squishing enemies under your wheels, whilst the planet around you explodes, enough said. My only problem with the campaign is the flood, generic monsters who annoy the hell out of me.
Online
Halo 3
The Online mode of halo 3 consists of a ranking system where you gain 1 xp for placing in the top 50% of the game (or if your team places in the top 50%), this feels as if a child has made it up and it seems boring, and the ranking system just seems unfair, penalising you badly when you lose and rewarding you slightly when you win. The best but about Halo is forge mode and custom games, you can edit the maps and quite literally create any game type you could imagine if you have the ability and imagination. Pacman,duck-hunt and race style maps and games have all been made using this. Forge and custom games are more fun than the whole of Halo 3s Online mode, and you can share your maps and game types with other people, meaning your creation can go viral.
Cod: WaW
Cods Online ranking system is much better than Halo 3s as you can play people of different ability levels ranked, this lets you now how good you really are. The xp system differs between game-types and is much more varied than win one game go up, lose don’t move. However there is an absence of forge modes so you can’t create your own map, but you can slightly tweak game variant settings in private matches.
Overall
I seem to go through phases of preferring each game, mainly due to the fact Cod can be repetitive and Halos forge is so interesting but Halos ranking system is awful at best. But i give the victory to call of duty, due to the fact that i am always on it for longer.

You can also tweak the game modes in halo 3 all you have to do is press x in the pregame loby…
I have both games and have to disagree with your choice of the winner… Halo has a longer suriveability than CoD:WaW…
You are retarded Bryan, there are always thousands of people playing COD. Halo blows and it always has, since the first one at least. Plus, COD Modern Warfare 2 is coming out at the end of the year; people ARE going to be playing much more COD than any Halo game.

I agree with Bryan and JJ. Halo, although very sci-fi is a better game all in all. Its may be unrealistic at times, but there is always something different about it, keeping the game interesting as far as multiplayer goes. COD on the other hand, the campaign is much better in my opinion but as far as MP goes, its so realistic that it takes the fun out of the game. I am only talking about play here, not graphics, or sound, o anything like that, just the interface of the game itself. But people like what works for them so you cant mock those who like either game better or worse, we all have our opinions. 100’s of thousands of players play each game at any given time and until better games come out, that will stay that way.
