Mass Effect Three – Operation Resurgence

Get your hands on the free DLC faster.

Many of you avid Mass Effect 3 players have already been playing with the new content that the free Resurgence DLC pack offered. Well Bioware has continued to make a new multiplayer operation every weekend and once again this weekend’s is a bit bland a kind of a fail. Last weekend players got to earn 25% more XP for all multiplayer modes. This weekend you earn 10% more XP only when you play on the new maps. More XP is always welcome but you would think it would be something like 50% more XP on the select maps. The only somewhat creative operation that Bioware has created so far was Operation Raptor where players had to promote two of their online characters and if 100,000 gamers did that everyone earned a prize. I think most gamers enjoyed that Operation because it was a community goal that everyone had to help to reach. Bioware really needs to do something like “1,000,000 enemies killed total throughout the community”.

I am still not done talking about Operation Resurgence though! The real reward for playing on a Resurgence map this weekend is not just getting 10% more XP. If you participate this weekend then you are awarded a reserves pack. The reserves pack will automatically get you one of the brand new characters that was in the Resurgence DLC. This is really nice since all of the new content costs a lot of credits and it at least gives you one to play with somewhat immediately. This is most likely the reason why Bioware has yet to do a bonus credit weekend because they want to give players a reason to come back every weekend to reap the bonuses. Remember that you have until Monday to play on a Resurgence map and the Resurgence DLC is absolutely free! Have fun playing the new content and remember that I always keep you up to date on all the new Operation’s that Bioware releases!
