Minecraft Review

My Review of Minecraft.

You should have heard of the game by now, but if you haven’t, you may want to read my Review.

It’s a sandbox game, where you can build in a huge world. You can build anything you want, with blocks. It is almost like Legos, only there is limited physics and one block type.

The Survival mode of the game just went Multiplayer this month. It requires a good computer to get a decent Frame rate, with little fog. Playing the game on a Stable OS like Linux should help. The creative mode of the game doesn’t take a great computer, but Older computers might not be able to play this version either. In the creative mode, you have an Unlimited number of blocks, but don’t have the latest updates, and blocks like Survival mode.

Your skin is the Default skin, unless you buy the game, Then you can make your own or copy someone elses, although people may confuse you for them if they can’t remember their Username, and if they find out they might be upset. Not all of your skin can be transparent, but some parts can.

Adventure mode, another planned game mode, is like Survival mode, Only you cannot modify anything, and you start off with some tools to try and get you where your going. How Notch thinks this will work, is you Create the world with Creative, Test it out and get the tools in survival, and Play it in Adventure mode.

Custom creative servers are better than the servers that Notch provides. They allow you to create a server for a specific game mode, Like Zombies, Spleef, and even Lava. A good example is TheOne’s servers. They are all made specifically for the game mode, like TNT Wars doesn’t let you respawn, to keep the game fair. They also have a custom set of commands, like 8Ball, which spits out a random response to your question.

The game may only be developed by one person, But he develops fast enough to make Weekly, and sometimes daily updates. In a couple days, he will bump the price to 15 euros, so Buy the game now, before the price goes up. 80,000 People can’t be wrong, right?

Overall, I give this game a 9/10
