On Flash Games 20: Notebook Wars 2

Greetings, dear readers. The twentieth installation of On Flash Games brings us Notebook Wars 2, availiable here on Kongregate. This game plays like any other top-down shoot-em up game like Raiden or Aero Fighters in the Arcade or Raptor or Tyrian on PC. Mouse your little plane around, click to shoot, avoid taking damage lest your little plane go down. The wrinkle that makes Notebook Wars 2 so attractive in a genre fraught with mediocrity is the delightful colored-pencil on notebook paper graphics.

Aside from delightful presentation, Notebook Wars 2 is otherwise playing to trope – even down to being able to upgrade to new planes with additonal weapon slots. It’s a fun way to waste an hour or so.
