On Flash Games 73 – Granny Strikes Back

The Granninator?

Greetings dear readers. On Flash Games issue 73 covers Granny Strikes Back, a flash game (big surprise, that) by SilenGames, also responsible for Icy Fishes, reviewed here. Play GSB right here on Kongregate. This game, replete with the wackiness that the other pieces of work by SilenGames has, takes the form of a top-down shooter with elements of tower defense gameplay. WASD moves granny about and you aim whatever weapon she’s using with the mouse, at enemies that typically take the form of malicious snow men and the occasional Santa Claus. Huh? I told you it was wacky.
Granny can attack her enemies by hurling boomerang-frying pans (see above), or by picking various plants from her garden, such as sunflowers, which shoot seeds like a machine-gun, and peas, which act like a shotgun. Granny Strikes Back uses the same stars-and-currency system as a few other SilenGames, which makes advancing your powers in this game easy.
