Resident Evil: Degeneration 3D
Resident Evil: Degeneration 3D…The most impressive Capcom Interactive, Inc mobile release this year!

Resident Evil: Degeneration 3D is an action adventure game based on the 2008 animated movie release. The game puts you in a busy American airport, where T-virus-infected zombies have recently overrun airline passengers and staff. The game begins 7 years after the Raccoon City tragedy, with you playing as Leon S. Kennedy, pairing up once again with partner Claire Redfield.
Verizon Wireless has the 3D version of this game featured as a demo on devices such as the new Samsung Rogue. The phone’s large clear 3.1 inch screen is the perfect platform to show off this game’s brilliant graphics. The artful interplay of color and shadows are surprisingly striking and nearly flawless. The audio in this game is eerie and bolstered with realistic special effect sounds that really put you in the feel of the game. Holding this device and playing this game you actually feel as though you are actually playing on an elaborate handheld game console like Sony’s PSP or Nintendo DS.
You are dropped off into your mission with little in the way of supplies, so be sure to take advantage of everything there is to pick up. You will need it. You must utilize an array of weapons including a knife, guns, sniper rifles as well as hand grenades to navigate the airport facility and destroy the infected undead humans while searching for survivors and clues in order to complete your mission.
Here are a few quick tips to reduce your learning curve. Press “OK” to pick up or take and object. If you use the on screen select, you are immediately switched to the next weapon in your arsenal, from the hand gun to your knife for example. Additionally, be sure to use your laser sights to take out Infected whenever you can from a distance, be wary of groups and try to prevent any of them from getting behind you. You can also double tap the down/back directional pad to quickly turn and put distance between you and surprise visitors you might encounter. Lastly, don’t be too proud to purchase upgraded weapons from shady Secret Service personnel. You may not like where they come from, but you won’t be able to argue with their effectiveness.
The only flaw that I have noticed in the game’s graphics is that if you spin 360 degrees, you can see through the back of your character’s head. Device wise, both the backspace and the okay button on the Samsung Rogue make you fire. This means that after each shooting encounter you have to exit out from the phones touch screen to “Exit.” A slight inconvenience for anyone playing for extended periods of time.
Although easy to play and navigate the obvious graphic nature of this series means that the game should only be purchased for mature players. Additionally, this game comes in two versions, be sure to get the 3D version over the basic option. It is more expensive, for example, through Verizon Wireless it costs $4.99 for a monthly subscription. However, it is worth every penny and much more graphic laden that its $3.49 counterpart.
Resident Evil: Degeneration 3D boasts exceptional graphics, crisp and haunting audio, and clear easy controls making this the most impressive Capcom Interactive, Inc mobile release this year. This game is a certified 5 out of 5 joysticks, a must have for mobile gamers on the move!
